Whistler – British Columbia
There is a lot to do in Whistler throughout the year with an abundance of outdoor activities to choose from for all ages and levels of fitness.
A 10 minute walk from Latitude Five Zero are the chair lifts for Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains, which were the official alpine skiing venue for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. Lost Lake is even closer to Latitude Five Zero and offers wonderful cross country skiing, and trails for biking and walking. There are four other crystal clear lakes to explore in Whistler.
Whistler winter activities other than skiing include snowboarding, dog sledding, snowshoeing, powder skiing, heli-skiing, horse-drawn sledding, snowmobiling, Ziptrek and ATV tours.
In the spring and summer explore over 1,200m or 4,800ft of bike park terrain with over 250km of lift-serviced descending mountain bike trails or simply ride on the paved bike trails which extend for over 40km throughout Whistler, play golf on one of three championship courses, go hiking, bungee jumping, white water rafting, canoeing, kayaking, walking, take a wildlife tour, go for a picnic by the lake and much more.
